William "Bill" ANDERSON died Tuesday morning, Dec. 22, 2015, at Parkview Home in Wayland, Iowa. Funeral services are pending at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield.

William Eugene ANDERSON, 89, of Fairfield, died Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2015, at Parkview Home in Wayland (note: in Henry Co., IA).
The funeral, with military honors, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield. Cremation will follow the service, with interment of cremains at a later date at Salina Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Mr. ANDERSON was born Jan. 23, 1926, in Fairfield, the son of Carl John and Maude KRUMBOLTZ ANDERSON.
He was a lifetime resident of the Fairfield area. He was a farmer all of his life.
He served in the Korean War (sic - Korean Conflict) and received a Purple Heart. He was a disabled veteran.
He graduated from Fairfield High School and was a member of Salina Presbyterian Church.
He loved baseball and fishing.
Survivors include: one sister, Dorothy MIDDLEKOOP of Batavia.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; four brothers, Merlin, Wilbur, Gerald and Clarence ANDERSON; and one sister, Marjorie RUSSELL.
