Armena STARR, 98, of Richland, died Friday evening December 11, 2015, at Keota Health Care Center in Keota (note: in Keokuk Co., IA).
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 15, 2015, at noon at the Richland United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall with the Rev. Carl Benge and the Rev. Frosty Van Voorst officiating. Burial will be in Richland Friends Cemetery (in Keokuk Co., IA).
Visitation and lunch at the Church Fellowship Hall will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday immediately preceding the service.
Memorials to Keokuk County Hospice or to the Donor's choice may be left at the church or mailed to the family at 30704 272nd Avenue, Ollie, Iowa 52576. Arrangements are in the care of Gould Funeral Home in Richland.
She was born March 28, 1917, 5 miles northwest of Richland to Jake and Margaret Kathryn KOCH BAKER. She attended country school at Greenwood No. 4 and married Leonard STARR March 28, 1935, in Richland. He died November 15, 1971. Armena was a farm wife.
She is survived by her daughter, Margaret WONDERLICH (Bill) of Ollie, four grandchildren, three great grandchildren, special family member Kraig Deutsch, nieces nephews and friends.
Armena was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, Junior STARR, great grandson Austin WONDERLICH, 4 sisters: Marjorie DERBY and Marguerite BAKER and infant sisters, Edna and Marie, three brothers: John, Bernard and Albert BAKER.
