Dennis Leon WAUGH

Dennis Leon WAUGH, 62, of Des Moines, died Thursday, Nov. 26, 2015, in his home following a heart attack.

A celebration of life is at noon Saturday in the lower level of the Fairfield Senior Citizen Center. Those attending are asked to bring a memory to share with the family.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to the family with memories or words of support can be mailed to April GARRISON 9230 Bristol Ave. St. Louis, MO 63114.

Mr. WAUGH was born Sept. 29, 1953, in Keosauqua, the son of Pearl COFFIN and Gayle WAUGH. He married Mary PERKINS Feb. 14, 1976.

He graduated from Fairfield High School in 1971.

Mr. WAUGH worked for Fairfield Aluminum Castings Company and was an active member and officer of the Glass, Molders, and Potters union for 24 years. After moving to Cedar Rapids, he managed a Hawkeye convenience store and as a delivery driver for Barron Motor Supply until returning to Des Moines.

Mr. WAUGH loved football and was a fan of the St. Louis Rams and Iowa Hawkeyes.

Survivors include: his wife; two children Ryan WAUGH and wife Dawn of Waukee and April GARRISON and husband Brandon of St. Louis, Missouri; two grandsons; and 10 brothers and sisters.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; and one brother, Roger "Buck" WAUGH.
