William W. McINTOSH

William W. McINTOSH, 68, of Keosauqua, died Monday evening, Nov. 30, 2015, at his home.

The body has been cremated. A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with Lee McIntosh officiating. Private family burial of cremains will be at a later date in Center Chapel Cemetery in rural Keosauqua (note: in Van Buren Co., IA).

Visitation will open at 3 p.m. Thursday, with family present 5-7 p.m., at the funeral home.

Memorials to Keosauqua Fire Department or the Cardiac Rehab Center at Van Buren County Hospital can be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 1309 Broad St., Keosauqua 52565.

Mr. McINTOSH was born June 21, 1947, in Fairfield, the son of Wyatt W. and Lenora M. HUFF McINTOSH. He married Joyce LAMM Dec. 20, 1980, in the Keosauqua Congregational Church.

Mr. McINTOSH spent most of his life in Keosauqua. He graduated from Van Buren High School in 1965 and was employed at Hohl & Hohl Inc. in Keosauqua, then attended trade school in Omaha, Nebraska, to be a mechanic. Following trade school he worked at International Harvester in Longmont, Colorado, then Hendricks Equipment in Keosauqua until it closed and he started M&B Repair in 1988.

Mr. McINTOSH had attended the Congregational Church, had been a first responder and on the fire department, all in Keosauqua. He was a member of Pheasants Forever, was one of the first Hunters Safety instructors in Iowa and enjoyed, in his younger years, working on race cars and pulling tractors.

Survivors include: his wife; two sons, Jarrod McINTOSH of Keosauqua and Kenneth McINTOSH and wife Tisha of Gillette, Wyoming; five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and one sister, Mary Ann ANDERSON of Donnellson.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; and one brother, Jimmie Dale McINTOSH.
