Dr. Michele Marie (BARLOW) GREINER, Ph.D. was born September 23, 1961, in Mason City, Iowa, the daughter of Jack and Joan (SHEEHY) BARLOW. She graduated from Newman Catholic High School in 1980, and earned a bachelor's degree from Loras College. Michele continued her passion for physchology through graduate study at the University of Iowa, earning a Ph.D. in 1990. She practiced counseling psychology in Fairfield and the surrounding areas for many years. Throughout her career, Michele served as a member of the Iowa Psychological Association, serving as their president in 2007. She was united in marriage to Michael J. GREINER on June 16, 1984 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mason City, Iowa. She was the mother to two children, Alexander and Kara. While maintaining an active professional career, one could never doubt that Michele devoted her life to raising her children. Michele was involved in many community activities through membership in PEO Chapter OO, Friends of FBLA, and the Fairfield Community School District book reconsideration committee. She was a board member of the Fairfield Public Library, Fairfield Band-Aides, St. Mary Preschool, and was a founding member of the Fairfield Education Foundation.
