Sandra PLOWMAN, 75, of Cedar Rapids and formerly of Fairfield, died at 4:40 a.m. today, Friday, Oct. 16, 2015, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.

Arrangements are pending at Pedrick Funeral in Douds.

Sandra PLOWMAN

Sandra PLOWMAN, 75, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Fairfield, died at 4:40 a.m. Friday, Oct. 16, 2015, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.

The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds, with the Rev. Jerry Caughron officiating. Cremation will follow the service.

Visitation opens at 3 p.m. today at the funeral home, with family present 5-7 p.m.

Memorials to Camp Courageous can be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 2401 Canhon St., S.W., Cedar Rapids 52404.

Mrs. PLOWMAN was born May 27, 1940, the daughter of Don W. and Marjorie WHITING SPILMAN. She married David PLOWMAN. They divorced.

Mrs. PLOWMAN graduated from Selma High School in 1956. She worked at Bradshaw Furniture in Fairfield and many years for Iowa Department of Corrections, mainly as a probation officer.

She was a member of Fairfield Jaycettes and Fairfield Eagles Club.

Survivors include: daughter, Julie STULL and husband Dennis of Cedar Rapids; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: son, David M. PLOWMAN; one great-grandson; and brothers, Frank and Floyd SPILMAN.
