Karen L. FOSDYCK

Karen L. FOSDYCK, 75, of Ottumwa, died at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2015, at Ottumwa Regional Health Center in Ottumwa.

The funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday at Reece Funeral Home in Ottumwa, with the Rev. Mark Eigsti officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Ottumwa (note: in Wapello Co., IA).

Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the family present from 2-4 p.m.

Memorials can be made to the American Heart Association.

Mrs. FOSDYCK was born March 24, 1940, in Ottumwa, the daughter of William H. and Lillian Juanita CRANE HELMICK. She married Ronald FOSDYCK Sept. 19, 1959.

A graduate of Ottumwa High School in 1958, she and her husband lived 20 years in Fairfield before moving back to Ottumwa in 1993.

Mrs. FOSDYCK attended Trinity Church of the Nazarene.

She was an avid reader, enjoyed crocheting and decorating cakes.

Survivors include: her husband, Ron; three sons, Ron FOSDYCK Jr., Bill FOSDYCK and Ed FOSDYCK, all of Eldon; one daughter, Robin FOSDYCK of Alliance, Ohio; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters, Sharon HOWARD of West Des Moines and Christina ROHLF of Altoona; and one brother, Terry HELMICK of Montana.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, William C. HELMICK; and two sisters, Kathy GOWEN and Judy ANDERSON.
