Marie L. BENNETT

Marie L. BENNETT, 86, of Fairfield, died Thursday, Oct. 1, 2015, at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield.

Per her wishes, the body has been cremated, and a private graveside memorial service is planned at Richland Friends Cemetery in Richland (note: in Keokuk Co., IA).

Memorials can be made to VFW Auxiliary. Cards and memorials can be mailed to Rick BENNETT, 100 Second St., Batavia 52533. Online condolences can be made to the family at www.behnerfh.com.

Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield is assisting the family.

Mrs. BENNETT was born Nov. 15, 1928, in Fairfield, the daughter of Glen and Clara BYER WILSON. She married R. Keith BENNETT Aug. 27, 1948, at First Lutheran Church. He died Nov. 22, 2002.

Mrs. BENNETT worked at Universal Producing and Iowa Liquor Store.

Her interests and hobbies included crocheting, piece quilting and watching TV.

Survivors include: one son, Rick BENNETT and wife Cindy of Batavia; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and one sister, Evelyn ROBERTSON of Sanbornville, New Hampshire.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Keith and Donald WILSON.
