Clarence L. ANDERSON, 87, of Brighton, died Saturday, Oct. 3, 2015, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
Per his request, the body was donated to the Carver College of Medicine at the University of Iowa for scientific research.
A memorial service is 11 a.m. Wednesday at Calvary Baptist Church in Mt. Pleasant, with the Rev. Bob Wolfe and the Rev. Jerry Van Hooser officiating.
Visitation, with family present, will be 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at the church prior to the memorial service.

The Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mr. ANDERSON was born Nov. 26, 1927, in Fairfield, the son of Carl John and Maude KRUMBOLTS ANDERSON. He married Lois DORWALD June 22, 1957, in Middleport, New York.
He attended country schools, then graduated from Fairfield High School. He received his Master of Divinity degree from Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina.
Mr. ANDERSON was pastor for churches all over the Midwest for more than 60 years; mostly in Iowa. Sharing Christ's love was a great passion.
He was a lifelong farmer and was known for winning the Tall Corn Contest at the Iowa State Fair for a number of years. He was often found on the baseball diamonds, volunteering as a coach for Little League baseball teams. One of his favorite pastimes was spending time with family traveling on summer vacations. He also had a great passion for his blue heelers.
Survivors include his wife, Lois of Brighton; one daughter, Leah WOLINE and husband Wayne of Mt. Pleasant; three sons, Dan ANDERSON and wife Brenda of Mt. Pleasant, Joel ANDERSON of Brighton and Jon ANDERSON and wife Michelle of Lyman, South Carolina; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy MIDDLEKOOP of Packwood; and one brother, William ANDERSON of Fairfield.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; three brothers, Merlin ANDERSON, Wilbur ANDERSON and Gerald ANDERSON; and one sister, Marjorie RUSSELL.
