Thomas R. STACY, 69, of Brighton died Monday evening, Sept. 28, 2015, at Washington County Hospital in Washington, Iowa.
Arrangements are pending at Gould Funeral Home in Brighton.

Thomas Richard STACY, 69, of Brighton, died Monday evening, Sept. 28, 2015, at Washington County Hospital in Washington, Iowa.
No funeral is planned. The body will be cremated following visitation. Cremains will be buried at a later date at Hillcrest Cemetery in Brighton.
Visitation, with the family, will be 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday at Gould Funeral Home in Brighton.
Memorials for the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown can be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 1710 330th St., Brighton 52540.
Mr. STACY was born Nov. 13, 1945, in Fairfield, the son of Guy Everette and Eva Irene WATERHOUSE STACY. He married Lee Ann STANLEY Feb. 12, 1982, in LaCrosse, Indiana.
Mr. STACY grew up in Brighton and graduated from Brighton High School in 1964.
He was a boilermaker and certified welder for 45 years working in power plants and oil refineries all over the United States. He operated a small engine repair shop at his home from 1992-2012.
Mr. STACY was a member of the United States Naval Construction Forces Seabees from 1965-1969 and served three tours in Vietnam.
He was a member of the Vietnam Veterans of America and Disabled American Veteran Chapter 1 in Ottumwa. He was a service veteran representative at the VA Hospital in Iowa City.
He was a member of Naaman Lodge No. 613. A.F. & A.M. in Brighton.
Survivors include: his wife; four daughters, Jessica BREWER and husband Doug, Shannon STACY of Indiana, Danielle MADSEN and husband Denny of Indiana, and Andrea SALZER of Tennessee; one son, James STACY of Tennessee; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Nancy NABHOLTZ of Ottumwa and Diane STACY of Brighton.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; and one infant brother, William.
