Lowell I. SCOTT, 93, of Keosauqua and formerly of Cantril, died at 8:27 a.m. Monday, Sept. 7, 2015, at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.
Arrangements are pending at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua.

Lowell Irvin SCOTT, 96, of Keosauqua and formerly of Cantril, died at 8:27 a.m. Monday, Sept. 7, 2015, at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Jerry Caughron officiating. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery in Milton.
Visitation will open at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with family present 5-7 p.m.
Memorials to Sunnyside Cemetery, Cantril Fire Department, Cantril Grass Roots or Cantril Christian Church can be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 27232 Gold Ave., Cantril 52542.
Mr. SCOTT was born March 16, 1919, in rural Davis County, the son of Irvin and Mae SCOTT. He married Dorothy SKELTON June 9, 1940. She died March 3, 2013.
Soon after they were married, the SCOTTs moved to a farm outside Cantril. Mr. SCOTT farmed with his father until he retired in 1986. He was very proud of his Angus cattle herd which he had until a farm auction in 1986.
The SCOTTs bought a house in Cantril. Mr. SCOTT helped Jack and Linda Sharp farm for 22 years until he retired due to health issues. In 2009, he and his wife moved to Good Samaritan Society in Keosauqua.
Mr. SCOTT enjoyed visiting with friends and family and loved to read.
Survivors include: one brother, Don SCOTT of Branson, Missouri.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by: his parents; and one sister, Faye ENGLE.
