Lloyd Denton Tedrow
August 25, 2004Lloyd Denton Tedrow, 96, of Manning, N.D., and formerly of Libertyville, died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2004, at his home.
A graveside service with military honors was held Friday at St. Demetrius Cemetery in rural Fairfield, N.D., with the Rev. Leonard Kordonowy officiating.
Mr. Tedrow was born March 13, 1908, on the family farm near Libertyville, the son of Joseph and Grace Camblin Tedrow. He married Hattie Kasian Aug. 17, 1959, in Billings County, N.D. She died Nov. 8, 1999.
He completed school through seventh grade in Libertyville, then was employed in custom threshing and combining. He was a lifelong farmer and rancher in Iowa and North Dakota, where he moved in 1956.
He enjoyed tending farm and garden until his death.
He served in the United States Army from 1942-1943.
Survivors include one sister, Ellen Pearson of Libertyville; and one brother, Glenn Oscar Tedrow of rural Fairfield.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by four brothers, George Vern Tedrow, Rayburn Joseph Tedrow, Brice Everett Tedrow and Murl Gilmore Tedrow; and three sisters, Mildred Tedrow, Zelda Manning and Bertha Ferrell.
