C. Dean GRANT

C. Dean GRANT, 78, of Miltonvale, Kansas, died Monday, Aug. 17, 2015, in Miltonvale.

The funeral is planned for 3 p.m. Friday at F.C. Hill Memorial Wesleyan Church in Miltonvale, with the Rev. Dale Stratton officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Hickory Grove Cemetery in Stockport (note: in Van Buren Co., IA).

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday and 1-3 p.m. Friday at F.C. Hill Memorial Wesleyan Church.

Memorials can be made to the Dean Grant Memorial Fund to be designated later. Online condolences can be made at www.nsrfh.com.

Neill-Schwesen-Rook Funeral Home in Clay Center, Kansas, is assisting with arrangements.

Mr. GRANT was born Feb. 2, 1937, in Sioux City, the son of Mavin and Lecta McKINNEY GRANT. He married Wilma STUCK Jan. 4, 1956. She died in April 1997. He married Marcia MOREY in November 1997.

Mr. GRANT was raised in Iowa and Missouri.

He worked as a bus driver in Chicago. He was a pastor at churches in Bellevue, Illinois, and Hallsville, Missouri. Then he spent 22 years at Stockport. He and his wife Marcia moved to Miltonvale in 2000.

Mr. GRANT worked as the public relations worker for the Society of Indian Missions.

He attended the Miltonvale Bible Methodist Church. He was president of Moulton Camp for more than 25 years.

Survivors include: his wife Marcia GRANT of Miltonvale, Kansas; two daughters, Cheryl MICHELSON and husband Perry of English, Indiana, and Cindy DONAHUE of Fishers, Indiana; one son, Tim GRANT of Tonganoxie, Kansas; three grandchildren; three brothers, Bruce GRANT of Yorba Linda, California, Darrell GRANT of Desoto, Missouri, and Curtiss GRANT of Sugarland, Texas.

In addition to his first wife, he was preceded in death by: his parents; two brothers; one sister; and one grandchild.
