Bonnie Stark, 52, of Fairfield died Thursday, Aug. 12, 2004, at her home.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Liberal Catholic Church.

Memorials to the Sacred Sun Foundation, a local organization that assists cancer patients and their families, can be sent to the family at 2400 Meadow Drive, Fairfield 52556.

Mrs. Stark was born May 2, 1952, in Perryville, Mo., the daughter of Ewald and Virginia Queathem Buchheit. She married Tom Stark of Wichita, Kan., Oct. 6, 1979, near Saint Genevieve, Mo.

She attended school and worked as a laboratory technician in Missouri and Tennessee. She was also a beekeeper, horticulture specialist and cook for several years in Missouri. After moving to Fairfield in 1983, she began New Bounty Farms, producing organic food products for local sale.

She enjoyed her spending time with her family, making pottery, organic gardening and providing healthy local food alternatives.

Survivors include her husband; and two daughters, Abigail Stark and Jessica Stark, at home.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
