Evelyn "Trink" Ann OVROM MANNING, 94, of Keosauqua died Sunday, July 19, 2015, at her home surrounded by family.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Keosauqua United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Mary Kathryn Hart officiating.
Visitation will open at 3 p.m. Tuesday, with family present from 5-7:30 p.m. at Mansion Inn in Keosauqua.
Memorials to Keosauqua Public Library or Keosauqua United Methodist Church can be left at the inn or church or mailed to the family at PO Box 130, Keosauqua 52565.
Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua is handling arrangements.
Mrs. MANNING was born Feb. 10, 1921, in Shullsburg, Wisconsin, the daughter of Fred and Blanche THOMPSON OVROM. She married John A. MANNING Dec. 25, 1943, in Keosauqua. He preceded her in death.
Mrs. MANNING grew up in Gary, South Dakota. At age 16, she moved with her family to Keosauqua where she spent the rest of her life.
She attended Grinnell College and graduated from Iowa State University.
Mrs. MANNING was a member of the PEO sisterhood, United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women, the American Legion Auxiliary, Eastern Star and Delphians.
The MANNINGs were leaders of the American Field Service program for many years at Van Buren High School in Keosauqua.
Survivors include: seven children, John O. MANNING and Lynn, Matt A. MANNING and Judy and George E. MANNING and Kathy, all of Keosauqua, David A. MANNING and Janet of West Des Moines, Albert B. MANNING and Kim of Lansing, Michigan, Elizabeth J. EDWARDS of Bettendorf and Ann C. MANNING of Minneapolis, Minnesota; one sister, Betty PERKINS of Keosauqua; one brother, Art OVROM of Keosauqua; 20 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by: her parents.
