Mary Ilene SMUTZ

Mary Ilene SMUTZ, 67, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 8, 2015 at Myrgle Beach Manor in Myrtle Beach, S.C., surrounded by her family.

Born on June 25, 1947 in Adel, IA, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Marjorie WILSON FAITH and the widow of the late Darrell SMUTZ, to whom she was happily married for 46 years.

She is survived by her children, David SMUTZ and wife, Angie and daughter Brenda POPE and husband, Michael, brothers Gary FAITH, sisters Eva BENSON, Nita BELLAMY, and Tina MAIERS, and grandchildren David SMUTZ (Megan), Dawson SMUTZ, and Zachary POPE and many nieces and nephews. She is precedeased by one brother, Clifford FAITH.

Mary was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt who loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them more than anything. She also enjoyed reading, sewing, quilting, painting, and crafting. Mary was loved by everyone for her sweet spirit and her warm heart. We will miss her dearly.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 on Friday, June 12th in Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Little River, S.C.
