Levi Abram AMRINE

Levi Abram AMRINE, 31 of Fairfield, died Friday, June 5, 2015, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Fairfield Arts & Convention Center, with the Rev. Ryan Dexter officiating and military rites following. According to his wishes, the body will be cremated after the service. Burial of cremains will be at a later date. He was an organ donor.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at Behner Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established. Cards and memorials can be sent to Kris AMRINE at 1524 Yarrow Blvd., Brighton 52540. Online condolences can be made at www.behnerfh.com.

Mr. AMRINE was born Dec. 23, 1983, in Mt. Pleasant, the son of Kris AMRINE and Anita WHITE.

He graduated from Fairfield High School in 2002; he was very active in wrestling and football.

He worked in the Fairfield Park and Recreation Division doing park maintenance for the last three years.

Mr. AMRINE served with the Iowa National Guard and was deployed to Iraq in 2005 and again in 2008.

He enjoyed four-wheeling, riding his motorcycle, hunting and his cattle and his kittens. While living on the family farm, his main desire was to raise his family there and continue farming.

Survivors include: his parents Kris AMRINE with Marge Gast of Brighton and Anita TISOR with husband Jeff of Washington, Iowa; his fiancé, Melanie Plate of Fairfield; one brother, Nicholas AMRINE of Iowa City; one stepbrother, Karl TISOR of Washington; and grandparent Marcelline MESSER of Mt. Pleasant.

He was preceded in death by many grandparents.
