Barbra C. COOK

Barbra C. COOK, 78, of Fairfield died Sunday, May 17, 2015, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield. Burial will be at Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Fairfield.

Visitation will be one hour prior to service time beginning at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. COOK was born Oct. 22, 1936, in Fairfield, the daughter of Andrew and Cathrine DENNISON HARPER. She married James COOK Sept. 4, 1953. He died April 5, 1984 (sic - April 4, 1984).

Mrs. COOK was a resident of the Fairfield area all her life.

She worked as a certified nurses aide (sic) and in home health care.

She was an avid bingo player, loved to go to the casino and play scratch-off games. She enjoyed fishing, mushrooming and her dog Duffy.

Survivors include: two sons, Andy COOK and wife Becky of Fairfield, and Denver COOK of Fairfield; one daughter, Valerie HARRYMAN of Fairfield; one brother, John HARPER of Fairfield; one sister, Viola HARPER of Fairfield; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by: her parents; one sister, Mary NEIL; and one daughter, Cathy COOK.
