Jerry Joseph SCHILLERSTROM

Jerry Joseph SCHILLERSTROM, age 73 of Fairfield, passed away at his home Thursday, May 7, 2015.

Prayers for a Christian wake will be 5:30 pm, Sunday, May 10, 2015 prior to the visitation at St Mary Catholic Church. Visitation for family and friends will be 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm.

Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Monday, May 11, 2015 at St Mary Catholic Church with Father Nick Adam officiating. Burial with military rites will be at Memorial Lawn, Fairfield, Iowa.

A memorial has been established. Cards and memorials can be mailed to: 1715 Quince Ave., Fairfield, IA 52556.

Jerry was born March 31, 1942 to Joseph and Louise (BURGER) SCHILLERSTROM in Salina, IA. He married Rose MOSINSKI November 9, 1963. They celebrated 51 years of marriage.

Jerry graduated from FHS with the class of 1960. He enlisted in the Iowa National Guard from 1959 - 1963. All his life he was a farmer. He enjoyed being outdoors. Some of the outdoors activities he enjoyed doing were fishing, hunting and mushrooming. Jerry attended the St Mary Catholic Church.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Rose SCHILLERSTROM of Fairfield, IA; two daughters, Sherri (Craig) MINEART of Brighton, IA and Amy (Rob) HOSKINS of Richland, IA; 4 grandchildren, Brittany HOSKINS, Brandon HOSKINS, Sophia MINEART and Joshua MINEART; and one sister, Joyce TANGIE of Albia, IA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Louise SCHILLERSTROM; two brother in-laws (sic), Albert TANGIE and Richard MOSINSKI; and one sister-in-law, Roberta MOSINSKI.
