Jimmy D. COLE

Jimmy D. COLE, 79, of Bentonsport, died at 2:50 p.m. Monday, May 4, 2015, at home.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Danny Cary officiating. Burial wil be in Pittsburg Cemetery, west of Keosauqua (note: in Van Buren Co., IA).

Visitation will open at 1 p.m. Sunday, with family present from 2-4 p.m. at the funeral home.

Gifts to a memorial to be designated later by the family can be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 26865 Route J40, Keosauqua 52565.

Mr. COLE was born Sept. 2, 1935, in Pittsburg, the son of Morris J. and Vergil M. ROBBINS COLE.

Mr. COLE grew up in Pittsburg and lived his adult life in Bentonsport.

He enjoyed antique cars, motorcycles and attending auctions. Most of all, he enjoyed his family especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include: his wife, Elaine of Bentonsport; one son, Rickie D. COLE of Bentonsport; one daughter, Vicki J. RANDOLPH of Bentonsport; one brother, Ronald COLE of Elma, Washington; three stepsisters, Wanda WALKER of Bloomfield, Shirley SCHUMAKER of Bloomfield and Patricia FOSTER of Des Moines; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by: one son, Randy COLE; one brother, Leonard COLE; three half-brothers, Paul, Ernest and Albert COLE; two sisters, Katherine ROBINSON and Dorothy OWLETT; two half-sisters, Pauline HEINZE and Ernestine COLE; and two grandchildren.
