Joanne Lenore RODGERS, 85, of Fairfield, died Monday, April 20, 2015, at the Jefferson County Health Center in Fairfield.
The funeral is scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Fairfield, with the Rev. Nick Adam officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield.
The family will receive friends prior to the funeral beginning at 9 a.m. Monday at the church.
Memorials have been established to the American Red Cross or to St. Jude's Children's Hospitals. Online condolences can be sent to www.raymondfuneralhomes.com.
Arrangements are in the care of Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield.
Mrs. RODGERS was born Sept. 28, 1929, in Burlington, the daughter of Clarence and Helen DeWITT LIETSCH. She married Lynn RODGERS (sic - Harrie Lynn RODGERS) Sept. 3, 1949, in West Burlington. He died June 22, 2010.
Mrs. RODGERS grew up in the West Burlington community and graduated from the St. Mary Catholic School in West Burlington.
She was a homemaker and helped her husband farm.
Mrs. RODGERS was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Fairfield.
Her pastimes include crocheting and sewing.
Survivors include: two daughters, Linda BRAMELL and husband Dave of Elmer, New Jersey, and Rose and Gary GRAHAM of Solon; two sons, Dan RODGERS and wife Wilma of Cedar Rapids and Gary RODGERS and wife Teresa of Fairfield; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Marilyn ANDERSON of Burlington and DeEtta SENN of West Burlington.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by: her parents; two sisters; and one brother.
