Richard James "RJ" BOLDEN, 92, of Marion, died Thursday, April 9, 2015.
A memorial service, with military honors, is planned for 11 a.m. Thursday at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion, officiated by Jeff McCaughey. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.

Mr. BOLDEN was born Oct. 5, 1922, in La Crosse (sic - LaCrosse), Wisconsin. He married Naomi Mae BARNEY Oct. 9, 1946, in La Crosse.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps and served in World War II as a top turret gunner on the B-25 bomber. He earned the Distinguished Flying Cross medal.
In 1953, he and his wife moved to Marion and started Marion Brush Mfg. Co.
His pastimes included hunting, boating, snowmobiling, motorcycling and traveling.
Survivors include: five children, Linda KUENNEN and husband Bill of Cedar Rapids, Jim BOLDEN of Cedar Rapids, Rhonda HAMMES and husband John of Fairfield, Gary BOLDEN and wife Cheri of Marion, and Shawn BOLDEN of Cedar Rapids; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by: his wife; and one sister, Eleanor WATSON.
