Mary Ann Davison, 68, of Washington and formerly of Richland, died unexpectedly Wednesday, July 28, 2004, at Washington County Hospital.

The funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington, with the Rev. Judy Gingerich officiating. Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington.

Visitation began at noon Friday at the funeral home. Family will be present from 6-9 p.m.

Memorials can be made to Hospice of Washington County or Washington County Development Center.

Mrs. Davison was born March 3, 1936, in Birmingham, the daughter of Ernest Jacob and Olive Helen Kimmel Leyden. She married Lowell Carroll March 2, 1952, in Washington; he died in 1980. She married George Davison March 13, 1982, in Rock Island, Ill.

She resided most of her life in Washington. After graduating from Washington High School, she was employed as a machine operator by Fansteel. She later owned and operated the Richland Cafe in Richland.

Mrs. Davison was a member of 3 OClock Coffee Club. Her hobbies included animals, especially horses and dogs; knitting; reading; and fishing. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Steven Carroll and wife Joyce of Iowa City and Ronald Carroll of Washington; two daughters, Susan Carroll of Washington and Tracy Richardson and fiance Rick Laws of Washington; one stepdaughter, Belinda Frank and husband Mike of Andalusia, Ill.; three stepdaughters, Denise Docherty and husband Scott of Monticello, Ill., Julia Holden and husband Dave of Cooper City, Fla., and Teresa Guttenfelder and husband Doug of Atlantic; one stepson, Phillip Davison and wife Laura of Moline, Ill.; and her mother.

In addition to her first husband, she was preceded in death by her father.
