Iris P. "Jack" WILLIAMS, 78, of Ottumwa, died at 6:15 a.m. Sunday, March 29, 2015 at the Good Neighbor Home in Manchester.
The funeral is planned for 10 a.m. Thursday at Reece Funeral Home in Ottumwa, with the Rev. David Parramore officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield.
Visitation begins at noon Wednesday, with the family present from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
Mr. WILLIAMS was born March 12, 1936, in Fairfield, the son of Paul L. and Sylvia E. WILLIAMS. He married Marietta "Mary" Marie NEMMERS March 4, 1953.
Mr. WILLAMS was a pastor and evangelized for many years in Mt. Pleasant, at Benton Street Church in Ottumwa, in Milan, Missouri, Richmond, Missouri, and South Side Pentecostal Church of God in Ottumwa.
He was a member of East End Pentecostal Church of God.
He worked as an auto body technichan for 35 years. He also was an antique dealer and a handyman.
Survivors include his wife, Mary; six children, Lorraine DOUTHART of Floris, Paul WILLIAMS and Jack WILLIAMS, both of Ottumwa, Joyce WILLITS and Clifford WILLIAMS, both of Manchester and David WILLIAMS of Oskaloosa; 18 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Opal ELAND and Paula COOK, both of New London; four brothers, Keith WILLIAMS of Fairfield, James WILLIAMS and Will WILLIAMS, both of Birmingham, and Steven WILLIAMS of Bonaparte.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; one granddaughter; two brothers, Marion and Edwin WILLIAMS; and two sisters, Mabel RUIZ and Aletha SCHWANTES.
