Viola 'Vi' M. DELP

Viola "Vi" M. DELP, 103, of Davenport, died Thursday, March 12, 2015, with her family by her side, at Genesis West Medical Center in Davenport.

The funeral was Sunday in the Runge Mortuary Chapel in Davenport. Burial was in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. DELP was born Nov. 27, 1911, in Fairfield, the daughter of Henry A. and Sarah V. HAVNER HARPER. She married Arthur W. DELP Dec. 23, 1933, in Memphis, Missouri. He died Dec. 24, 1992.

Mrs. DELP retirned from Davenshires after many years of service.

Her pastimes included playing bingo, euchre and bowling. She bowled in several tournaments. She also loved to travel with her husband to Washington, Canada, Alaska and other locations. They retired in Donna, Texas.

She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star No. 451.

Survivors include: three children Corky DELP of Bettendorf, Joan FROST and husband George of Davenport; and George DELP and wife Delana of Davenport; and 10 grandchildren; numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by: her parents; one brother, Andrew HARPER; two grandsons; and one daughter-in-law, Norma DELP.
