Local Service For G. ELLIOTT Of California

George "Bill" ELLIOTT, 72, former Fairfield and Batavia resident, died last Friday at Veterans hospital in Long Beach, Calif.

Services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Weston Behner Funeral home in charge of the Rev. Wayne Hoehns. Masonic rites will be conducted at the grave in Evergreen cemetery.

Elliott was born May 19, 1892 at Cambridge, Iowa, the son of John and Ellen HARRIS ELLIOTT. He was married to Lilly DALE Aug. 15, 1925.

Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Kenneth WILSON, Birmingham; three grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Jack RAGSDALE, Long Beach, Calif.

ELLIOTT was a veteran of World War I. He was a member of the American Legion, White Shrine and the Batavia Masonic lodge.
