Dale ROBERTS, 76, of Mount Sterling, died at 5:15 p.m. Monday, March 9, 2015, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City from injuries sustained from trimming trees.
Arrangements are pending at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua.

Dale E. ROBERTS, 76, of Mount Sterling died at 5:15 p.m. Monday, March 9, 2015, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City from injuries suffered while cutting trees on his farm near Mount Sterling.
In accordance with Mr. ROBERTS's wishes, the body has been cremated. A memorial service will be held in Roscoe, Missouri, at a later date with burial of cremains in Harness Cemetery in Mount Sterling.
Visitation will open at 3 p.m. Friday, with family present from 5-7 p.m. at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua.
Memorials to Harness Cemetery can be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 205 Hickory St., Mount Sterling 52573.
Mr. ROBERTS was born March 6, 1939, in Roscoe, Missouri, the son of Claude and Ruth ROEDER ROBERTS. He married Betty GREGG June 1, 1959, in Mount Sterling Methodist Church.
Mr. ROBERTS graduated from Cantril High School.
He operated a sawmill near Mount Sterling for many years and raised cattle.
His pastimes included hunting for Native American Indian artifacts. He was a founding member of Hawkeye State Archaeological Society. He served on the Harness Cemetery Board and the Fox River Drainage District Board.
Survivors include: his wife; two daughters, Debra SCHMITT and husband Verne of New London and Darla ROBERTS of Mount Sterling; two grandsons; one great-granddaughter; his mother, Ruth ROBERTS of Roscoe, Missouri; three brothers, Bill ROBERTS of Springfield, Missouri, Lee ROBERTS of Burlington and Ted ROBERTS of Republic, Missouri; and two sisters, Irene BELL of Stockton, Missouri, and Neva MALLICOAT of Eldorado, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by: his father; one sister, Janie Lou SEE; and two brothers, Carl and Roy ROBERTS.
