Joyce Dianne WARD, 65, of Fairfield, died Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015, in Adams, Nebraska.
The funeral is planned for 10 a.m. Saturday at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Fairfield, with the Rev. Gary Brooks officiating.
The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Friday at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield.
Memorials have been established to the University of Northern Iowa math department or First Christian Church in Fairfield. Online condolences can be made at www.raymondfuneralhomes.com.
Arrangements are in the care of Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield.
Ms. WARDwas (sic) born Feb. 17, 1950, in Mt. Pleasant, the daughter of Jack WARD and Ruth HARLAN WARD.
She was a graduate of Fairfield High School, Iowa State Teachers College (University of Northern Iowa) in 1972, and received her master's degree in math in 1973.
She taught school in Stockport for the Van Buren school district and retired in 2010.
She was a resident of SunnyBrook Care Center in Fairfield prior to moving to Adams, Nebraska, where she resided at the Gold Crest Nursing Home.
Her hobbies include sewing, cross stitch and baking. She loved cats and dogs and volunteered at the Fairfield Arts & Convention Center.
Survivors include one brother, David WARD of Des Moines.
She was preceded in death by her parents.

Joyce Dianne WARD, age 65 of Fairfield, died Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Adams, Nebraska.
Joyce was born February 17, 1950 at Mount Pleasant, Iowa, the daughter of Jack WARD and Ruth HARLAN WARD.
She was a graduate of Fairfield High School, Iowa State Teachers College (University of Northern Iowa) in 1972, and received her Master's in math degree in 1973.
Joyce taught school in Stockport (Van Buren Schools) and retired in 2010.
She was a resident of Sunny Brooks Care Center (sic) in Fairfield prior to moving to Adams, Nebraska where she resided at the Gold Crest Nursing Home.
Joyce's hobbies included sewing, cross stitch and baking. She loved cats and dogs and volunteered at the Civic Center in Fairfield.
Preceded in death by her parents Jack WARD and Ruth PECK.
Surviving are her brother David (Marge) WARD of Des Moines 2 nephews Shawn WARD of Filley, Nebraska and Nick WARD of Fairfield and 2 great nieces.
Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday at the First Christian Church in Fairfield with Pastor Gary Brooks officiating.
The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at the Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield.
Memorials have been established to the University of Northern Iowa Math Department or to the First Christian Church in Fairfield.
