Nancy J. THOMPSON

Nancy J. THOMPSON, 74, of Ottumwa, died at 10:21 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2015, at University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City.

According to Mrs. THOMPSON's wishes, the body has been cremated. No service is planned.

Visitation, with family present, will be 5-7 p.m. Friday at Reece Funeral Home in Ottumwa.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Jefferson County Health Center for its Nutritional Center.

Mrs. THOMPSON was born July 27, 1940, in Ottumwa, the daughter of Archie "Gip" and Rosemary CHILDS LEEDOM. She married Howard THOMPSON June 19, 1964. He died Dec. 27, 2011.

Mrs. THOMPSON worked at Everco Industries 22 years.

Her pastimes included playing bingo and socializing with her friends. She also was an avid reader.

Survivors include: three sons, Rick MOSHER and spouse Brooke BURTON of Ottumwa, Scott MOSHER and spouse Lori of Eldon and Lou THOMPSON of Rushville, Illinois; one daughter, Susan BRECHT and spouse Mark of Winfield; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one brother, Raymond LEEDOM of Eldon.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one granddaughter; and one brother, Jack LEEDOM.
