Mary JENSEN NOBLE, 81, of Keosauqua, died at 12:20 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2015, at Good Samaritan Society-Van Buren in Keosauqua.
The funeral is planned for 11 a.m. Friday at Christ United Methodist Church in Douds, with the Rev. Mark Young officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Moriah Cemetery north of Douds.
Visitation, with family present, will be 10-11 a.m. Friday at the church prior to the service.
Memorials to Christ United Methodist Church or Good Samaritan Society-Van Buren can be left at the church or mailed to the family at 17248 Highway 1, Keosauqua 52565.
Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua is handling the arrangements.
Mrs. NOBLE was born Sept. 20, 1933, in Amherst, Ohio, the daughter of the Rev. Roy and Marie MUELLER JENSEN. She married David R. NOBLE June 2, 1956, in Elyria, Ohio. He died Dec. 16, 2010.
The NOBLEs lived many years in Cedar Rapids where Mrs. NOBLE taught preschool. They moved to Douds in 1989, and Mrs. NOBLE moved to Keosauqua in 2011.
She was an active member of Christ United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Twin City Chapter No. 258. Order of Eastern Star and John Hyson Reneker Unit No. 494, American Legion Auxiliary, all in Douds, and Chapter AD, P.E.O. in Milton.
Survivors include: three daughters, Katherine SMITH and husband Steve of Coralville, Deborah FINNEY and husband Jon of Keosauqua and Mary KIMPSTON and husband Bruce of Ankeny; and five grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by: her parents; and two brothers, Neal and Roy JENSEN.
