July 06, 2004Linda L. Dufur, 62, of Cantril died at 2:35 p.m. Friday, July 2, 2004, at home.
The funeral was held at 2 p.m. today at Cantril United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Catie Newman officiating. Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery.
Memorials to the P.E.O. Iowa Project Fund may be left at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua or mailed to the family at PO Box 192, Cantril 52542.
Mrs. Dufur was born Feb. 5, 1942, in the Lebanon community, west of Keosauqua, the daughter of George and Marie Daugherty Sadler. She married Erlon "Bud" Dufur Oct. 3, 1964, at Lebanon United Methodist Church.
She graduated from Keosauqua High School in 1959. She also graduated from Iowa Success Business School in Ottumwa. She had been employed in the offices of Lowenberg Bakery in Ottumwa, Farmers State Bank in Keosauqua and State Savings Bank and Helsel Antiques and Insurance, both in Cantril.
She was interested in her grandchildren, crocheting and flower gardening.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Kimberly Hamburg and husband Tim of Bloomfield and Lynn Mast and husband Henry of Humble, Texas; her mother of Cantril; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father; and two brothers, Neil Sadler and Donald Sadler in infancy.
