RoAne Jean LARSON, 57, of Fairfield, died Monday, Jan. 19, 2015, at Jefferson County Health Center in Fairfield.

Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield is helping the family with arrangements.

RoAnne Jean LARSON, 57, of Fairfield, died Monday, January 19, 2015, at Jefferson County Health Center.

The funeral is planned 10:30 am, Saturday, January 24, 2015 at the Fairfield Arts and Convention Center, with Pastor Chris Fiske officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Friday, January 23, 2015 at Behner Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, gifts to a memorial will be designated later by the family, can be made to Jefferson County Conservation Board, 2003 Libertyville Road, Fairfield, IA 52556, c/o the director, Dennis Lewiston, or to the LARSON family, 2148 S. 32nd St., Fairfield, IA 52556.

RoAnne was born Sept. 24, 1957, in Washington, the daughter of Roy and Beverly LAMANSKY. She married Matt SOJKA, and they later divorced. She later married David LARSON in 1988. They celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in 2013.

RoAnne graduated from Fairfield High School in Fairfield with the class of 1976 after being crowned the 1975 Fairfield Homecoming Queen. She was a member of National Honor Society. She then graduated from Mount Mercy in 1980 with her Bachelor of Science and Nursing.

RoAnne lived in Fairfield for 25 years. She worked as a substitute school nurse in the Ottumwa and Fairfield Public School systems. She was a member of PEO Chapter C and the Fairfield Garden Club. Her hobbies included painting, gardening, sewing, playing the piano, golfing, jogging, cycling, birdwatching, and visiting Jefferson County Park and the trails system. She enjoyed sewing costumes and making props for school plays. She loved to be involved in her children's school activities and family life.

RoAnne was an active member of Word of Life Lutheran Church of Fairfield.

Survivors include: her parents of Fairfield; her husband of Fairfield; 3 daughters, Carissa SOJKA and husband Kylan De VRIES of Ashland, OR, Bethany LARSON of Galesburg, IL, Dorian LARSON of Cedar Falls; 2 sons, Ryan LARSON of Fairfield, Kyle LARSON of Lafayette, CO; 3 sisters, Jane NEFORES of Manchester, MD, Barb MOTTET of Brighton, Karen FOREMAN of Batavia; 3 brothers, Joe LAMANSKY of Brighton, Dan LAMANSKY of Brighton, and Ron LAMANSKY of Pleasant Plain; and innumerable nieces nephews, and their children.
