Norma Jean HILL, 67, of Fairfield, died today, Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2015, at her home.

Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield is helping the family with arrangements.

Norma Jean HILL, 67, of Fairfield, died Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2015, at her home.

The funeral is set for 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Hope Lutheran Church in Germanville, with the Rev. Len Brokenshire officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield.

Visitation for family and friends will be 6-8 p.m. Friday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Memorials can be made to the Eagles Auxiliary or Hope Lutheran Church. Cards and memorials can be mailed to 1004 W. Spaulding Ave., Fairfield 52556. Online condolences can be made at www.behnerfh.com.

Mrs. HILL was born Feb. 17, 1947, in Iowa City, the daughter of Charles and Velma RUGE BUSKIRK. She married Larry Dean HILL April 29, 1967, in Davenport.

Mrs. HILL worked in the dietary and housekeeping department for 21 years at Jefferson County Hospital, SunnyBrook Living Care Center and SunnyBrook Assisted Living, all in Fairfield. After retiring, she was a cook during the noon lunch hour at Fairfield Eagles Club.

Mrs. HILL was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, Eagles Auxiliary and VFW Auxiliary.

Some of her hobbies were collecting salt and pepper shakers, cookbooks and teddy bears with a Christmas theme. She liked to crochet, play bingo and dance. She loved cooking and baking for family and friends. Most of all she loved being with family including her children, grandchildren.

Survivors include: her husband, Larry HILL of Fairfield; one daughter, Connie Lee BROWN of Washington, Iowa; one son, James Michael HILL of Fairfield; seven grandchildren; and six siblings, Ellen CONKLIN of Blue Grass, Mary WULF of Moline, Illinois, Janet STAHL of Erie, Illinois, Jim BUSKIRK of Le Claire, Ronnie BUSKIRK of Eldridge, and Ruth WEIR of Brighton.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Ralph BUSKIRK and her infant twin brother, Fred; and one infant grandson.
