Anita Wardle
June 24, 2004

Anita Wardle, age 65, has died from complications of Parkinson's and Alzheimer's. She passed away at Rose Hill Care Center in Burlington, Iowa, on June 21, 2004.

Anita was born August 1, 1938, in Fairfield, the daughter of George and Mildred Ball. She graduated from Fairfield High School in 1956. She had been a member of St. Joseph's Church in East Pleasant Plain. Anita lived in that community for twenty-seven years while married to Walter "Shorty" Hotle. He preceded her in death in April of 1992. She was also preceded in death by her parents, an infant brother, and her son, Johnny Moffett.

Survivors include her husband of nine years, Charles Wardle, Sr., brothers Charles (Linde) Ball of Fort Wayne, IN, Tom (Shari) Ball of Torrington, CT, and sister Chris (John) Schatz of Richardson, TX. She is also survived by children, Cindy Myers, Debbie Heitzman and Tim Moffett, all of Missouri, as well as grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Anita had a heart of gold, a gleeful sense of humor, and was a great gardener and cook in her day. She loved all children dearly, and she never met a garage sale she didn't like. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

A private memorial will be held at a later date. Any donations to your local Parkinson's Society or Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated.
