Pearl Dailey Leazer
June 22, 2004Pearl Dailey Leazer, 86, of Rogers, Ark., and formerly of Batavia, died Wednesday, June 16, 2004, in Bentonville, Ark.
A memorial service was held today at Batavia United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Thomas Raphael-Nakos officiating. Private inurnment will be at Batavia Cemetery.
Memorials can be directed to the Alzheimer's Association.
Kremer Funeral Home in Batavia is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Leazer was born April 10, 1918, the daughter of Cleo and Mabel Dailey near Agency, in the same room and house in which her father was born. She married Olan I. Leazer June 7, 1942, in Canada. He died April 1, 2001.
She moved with her family to Morris in Canada's Manitoba province in March 1920 before moving back to Batavia. She and her husband were longtime residents of Batavia before moving to Rogers in 1994.
Mrs. Leazer was a homemaker and avid cook, and enjoyed spending time with her family, camping and making return trips to Canada.
She was a member of the Arbor Vitae Order of Eastern Star 327 of Batavia.
Survivors include one son, Lynn Leazer and wife Sharon of Sunrise Beach, Mo.; one son-in-law, Gordon Plepla of Rogers; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Pattie Plepla; and one brother, Earl Dailey.
