Kimi Miller Harris, 61, of rural Birmingham, died Sunday, June 13, 2004, in a fire at her home southwest of Birmingham.

The body has been cremated. A graveside service and interment of cremains will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Wright Cemetery on Glasgow Road, with the Rev. Stewart Pilcher officiating.

Memorials can be brought to the service or mailed to the family at 21081 130th St., Birmingham 52535.

Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua is in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Harris was born Aug. 26, 1942, in Portland, Ore., the daughter of Edward E. and Donna Foudray Miller.

She graduated from high school in California and attended the University of California at Los Angeles. After some years in Texas, she lived in Birmingham for the past 15 years.

Survivors include her longtime companion, William Eddy; her mother, Donna Freitas of Cloverdale, Calif.; one brother, Michael Miller of Lebanon, Ore.; two half-brothers, Dean Freitas of Cloverdale and Gary Freitas of Santa Rosa, Calif.; and two half-sisters, Susie Dunye of Santa Rosa and Jolee Smith of Crescent City, Ore.

She was preceded in death by her father.
