Jack Henry GARDNER

Jack Henry GARDNER, 70, of Argyle, died Saturday, Dec. 20, 2014, at Great River Hospice House in Burlington.

Per Mr. GARDNER's wishes, the body has been cremated. The memorial service is planned at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Argyle Presbyterian Church in Argyle, with the Rev. Bill Willis officiating. Military rites will be held after the service. Burial of cremains will be at a later date.

Visitation for family and friends will be 9:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday at Argyle Presbyterian Church.

Memorials can be made to Great River Hospice House of Burlington or Argyle Presbyterian Church. Cards and memorials can be sent to 2956 180th Ave., Argyle 52619. On line condolences can be made to the family at www.behnerfh.com.

Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield is assisting the family.

Mr. GARDNER was born May 14, 1944, at the U.S. Naval Hospital in San Diego, California, the son of Henry Jordan and Ruth CLARKE GARDNER. He married Marilyn WEBER LAIRD Oct. 9, 1999, at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Kimberling City, Missouri.

Mr. GARDNER served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War (sic - Vietnam Conflict). He was a laborer at Arizona Mines and a chef in a restaurant.

He liked going deep sea fishing, playing the piano and making candy and giving it to friends.

Survivors include: his wife, Marilyn GARDNER of Argyle; one daughter, Crystal FOX and husband Brent of Willard, Missouri; two sons, Scott GARDNER and wife Loretta of Nixa, Missouri, and Timothy GARDNER and wife Jennifer of Marshfield, Missouri; eight grandchildren; two brothers, Gary GARDNER of Hamlet, Oregon, and Donald GARDNER of Bolivar, Missouri; and one sister, Ruth UHLMAN of Glenpool, Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; two brothers, Kenneth and Jordan GARDNER; one daughter, Terri Lynne MEYERS; and one grand-daughter.
