Donna Sue CONNELLY

Donna Sue CONNELLY, 42, of Brighton, died Friday evening, Dec. 12, 2014, at Washington County Hospital in Washington, Iowa.

Cremation has been accorded. A memorial service is planned for 11 a.m. Thursday at Brighton First Church of God, with the Rev. Ryan Meader officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery in Richland at a later date (note: in Keokuk Co., IA).

Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Thursday at the church immediately preceeding the memorial service.

General memorials can be left at the church or mailed to the family at 105 S. Benton St., Brighton 52540.

Gould Funeral Home in Brighton is assisting the family.

Ms. CONNELLY was born April 17, 1972, in Iowa City, the daughter of Scott E. and Donna Rae JACOBS CONNELLY.

She grew up in Brighton and graduated from Washington High School in 1990 and from Kirkwood Community College with an Associate Degree as a medical assistant.

She worked at Mercy Services in Coralville and Kalona until her health failed in 2001.

Survivors include: her life partner, John SCOTTON; two children, Anna SCOTTON and Allan CONNELLY both of Washington, Iowa; two grandchildren; her parents of Brighton, two brothers, Alex of Richland and Michael of Coralville; and her grandfather Dale JACOBS of Ottumwa.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Joseph Allan CONNELLY; grandparents R.C. and Joyce CONNELLY; and grandmother Jane DUESER.
