Larry Haven GRIFFIN Sr., 67, of Richland and formerly of Fairfield, died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2014, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield is helping the family with arrangements.

Larry Haven GRIFFIN Sr., 67 of Richland and formerly of Fairfield died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2014 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

Per his wish, the body has been cremated. Burial of cremains is set for 2:30 p.m. Friday, at Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield, with the Rev. Danny Cary officiating.

Visitation for family and friends will be 1-2 p.m. Friday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Memorials can be made to the family. Cards and memorials can be mailed to: Larry H. GRIFFIN Jr., 706 Fairfield Road, Port Byron, IL 61275. Online condolences can be made to the family at www.behnerfh.com .

Mr. GRIFFIN was born March 28, 1947, in Fairfield, the son of William and Lila HOSKINS GRIFFIN.

He worked for Chrome Crankshaft as a mechanic.

He was an avid baseball fan and his favorite team was the Los Angeles Dodgers, and he also watched the Iowa Hawkeyes. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and family.

Survivors include: five children, Larry H. GRIFFIN Jr. and Dawn Huizenga of Port Byron, Illinois, Mathew GRIFFIN of Davenport, Christopher GRIFFIN of Cedar Rapids, Robyn GRIFFIN and Dustin Roll of Fairfield and Travis GRIFFIN and wife Bridget of Des Moines; five grandchildren; one great-graddaughter; one brother, Robert GRIFFIN of Rock Island, Illinois; and one sister, Tammy EDWARDS of Des Moines.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Billy and Terry GRIFFIN; one sister, Sue MOWERY; and one granddaughter.

Visitation for family and friends was held 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm, Friday, December 12, 2014 at Behner Funeral Home, Fairfield, IA.
