Delbert H. BRADFIELD

Papillion, Nebraska - Delbert H. BRADFIELD, 90, of Papillion formerly of Agency, Iowa died at 6:30 p.m. November 26, 2014, at Josie Harper Hosice House, in Omaha.

Funeral Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13 at West Hills Church, pastor Rich McDermott officiating.

Visitation with family present will be open from 10-10:30 a.m. at church prior to the service. Inurnment will be at Packwood Cemetery in Iowa next year.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to West Hills Church may be left at the church or mailed to the church at 3015 S. 82nd Street, Omaha, Nebraska, 68124. Kahler-Dolce Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

BRADFIELD was born Dec. 15, 1923, in Packwood, Iowa to Vern T. and Lora E. NELSON BRADFIELD and married Darlene RIPLEY on May 29, 1948, in Koekuk (sic - Keokuk), Iowa.

He lived most of his life in southwest Iowa, prior to moving to the Omaha area. He worked in the fertilizer business, developing lasting relationships with farmers he served. Well known for his humility and honesty; he farmed, was a trucker, worked in manufacturing, was a car salesman, a postal worker, managed senior housing and held a sundry of other occupations to support his family. He was a WWII veteran, serving in the U.S. Coast Guard principally on the North Atlantic.

Surviving are his wife Darlene of Papillion, son Dana BRADFIELD (Jodeen) of Omaha, daughter-in-law, Mary BRADFIELD of Colorado Springs, Colorado, three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Dennis BRADFIELD, six sisters, and two brothers.
