Norma June WOODS, 80, of Fairfield, died Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2014, at her home.

Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield is helping the family with arrangements.

Norma June WOODS

Norma June WOODS, 80, of Fairfield, died Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2014, at her home.

The funeral is planned for 10 a.m. Monday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, with the Rev. Gary Brooks officiating. Burial will be at Campground Cemetery in Memphis, Missouri.

Visitation for family and friends will be 5-7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Hospice Compassus. Cards and memorials can be sent to 2033 Nutmeg Ave., Fairfield 52556.

Mrs. WOODS was born June 30, 1934, in Missouri, the daughter of Arthur and Teresa WEILAND HYDE. She married David "Max" WOODS, Jan. 15, 1956.

Mrs. WOODS was a homemaker and worked with her husband at Short Stop for 33 years before she retired. She volunteered at The Bargin (sic) Box. She was a member of the First Christian Church (Disciple of Christ).

She enjoyed gardening, playing cards, cats and horses. She loved spending time with family; especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include: her husband of Fairfield; one son Randy Max WOODS and wife Teresa of Batavia; one daughter, Janet Kay WOODS of Keosauqua; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; one brother, Arthur Jr. HYDE; and one sister, Arlene RUTLEDGE.
