JACOBS Funeral To Be Thursday

Mrs. Roy JACOBS, long-time resident of Jefferson county, died at 9:30 a.m. today at the Jefferson County hospital where she entered as a patient on Sunday, Dec. 12.

Last rites will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Lutheran church with the Rev. Hoyt Whitebread in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Friends may call at the Raymond funeral home until 12:30 p.m. Thursday at which time the casket will be taken to the church.

Mildred A. JACOBS, 68, was born Nov. 16, 1897, at Roseville, Ill., the daughter of Nels and Clara NELSON. She was reared and educated in the Mediapolis community.

On Feb. 17, 1921, she was married to Roy JACOBS. The wedding took place in the New Sweden church west of Four Corners.

Mrs. JACOBS was a member of the Lutheran church, and president of the Royal Oaks class.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Ronald (Etheline) VORHIES, Moline, Ill.; Mrs. Theo (Doreen) BAILEY, and Mrs. William (Lois) HARRISON, both of Fairfield; along with six grandchildren, three great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Arthur HOSTELLER, Lockridge, and a brother, Roy NELSON, Fairfield.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and five sisters.

Admin. note: Buried in Lot 4th.074 with husband Roy, who died in 1976.
