Barbara Jean SHANSTROM

Barbara Jean SHANSTROM, 10, daughter of Brian and Janine SHANSTROM of Libertyville, died at 5:57 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2000, at Jefferson County Hospital.

The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 13 at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield, with the Rev. Thomas Raphael-Nakos officiating. Burial will be in Fell Cemetery near Libertyville.

Visitation will begin Thursday morning, with the family present from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Libertyville Fire Department or Faith United Methodist Church in Libertyville.

Barbara was born Aug. 2, 1990, in Iowa City, the daughter of Brian and Janine STEVER SHANSTROM.

She was a student at Lincoln Elementary School in Fairfield. She was baptized in Faith United Methodist Church in Libertyville. She lived her entire life in Libertyville.

Survivors include her parents and sister Amanda at home; grandparents, Barbara HENDRICKSON of Fairfield, Frank and Eleanor STEVER of Batavia, Shirley DIMOND of Ottumwa; and great-grandparents, Mary SHANSTROM, Eva STEVER and Dorothy ELLIOTT, all of Fairfield and Ward and Maxine HENDRICKSON of Macomb, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her step-grandfather Robert HENDRICKSON, and great-grandparents, George STEVER, Richard SHANSTROM, Merlin ELLIOTT, Paul and Beata UNZENER.
