SHEMANSKI Rites Set

Peter A. SHEMANSKI, 83, native of Jefferson County Hospital where he entered last Friday. Previously he had been a patient at the Parkview Care Center.

Services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at the St. Mary Catholic Church with Father Karl Holtkamp officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.

Prayers for a Christian Wake will be held at the Raymond Funeral Home at 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Peter A. SHEMANSKI was born Dec. 7, 1892, in Jefferson County near Pleasant Plain. He was the son of Peter P. and Katherine A. DRISH SHEMANSKI. A retired farmer, his home before entering the care center was four miles south of Libertyville.

He was married to Stella T. WENCEL Jan. 20, 1923, in Chicago. She preceded him in death March 9, 1970.

SHEMANSKI was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Ralph SCHILLERSTROM, Fairfield; two sons, Stanley, Keota, and Eugene, Libertyville; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Dora BURKE, Fairfield.

In addition to his wife, SHEMANSKI was preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters and one son.
