Funeral Monday for WORLEY

The service for Dolores Ann WORLEY, 64, of Pleasant Plain will be held at 10: 30 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in East Pleasant Plain with the Rev. Joseph Rogers officiating.

The rosary will be said at 8 p.m. Sunday at the Raymond Funeral Home. Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery in East Pleasant Plain.

Mrs. WORLEY died Friday, July 22, 1988, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.

She was born Dec. 23, 1923, in Keota, the daughter of John Henry and Theresa Ann CONRAD PAULY. She grew up near Fairfield and attended rural Keota and Fairfield schools.

She married Robert L. WORLEY Aug. 26, 1946, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Fairfield. She spent her married life in the Pleasant Plain area.

Mrs. WORLEY was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in East Pleasant Plain, Altar and Rosary societies, American Legion, VFW and Eagle auxiliaries, Pleasant Plain Pioneers, Fairfield Women's Club, Jefferson County Genealogical Society, Polishville Cemetery Association, Republican Women and a charter member of the Jefferson County Historical Society.

She was preceded in death by her husband on Jan. 11, 1982, her parents, two brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by three daughters: Karen RUBEY of Fairfield, Mary T. WORLEY of Glenwood and Cynthia M. WORLEY of Pleasant Plain; and three sons: Maj. Robert L. WORLEY of Shaw Air Force Base, S.C., Sgt. Gerard A. WORLEY of Offut Air Force Base in Omaha, Neb., and Thomas J. WORLEY of Pleasant Plain.

Also surviving are six grandchildren; a brother Norbert PAULY of Fairfield; two sisters, Loyola St. CLAIR of Salem, Ore., and Virginia HOUGH of Portland, Ore.; and several nieces and nephews.

The body will be taken to the church at the time of the funeral. Memorials may be left for masses or to the cancer fund or the Pleasant Plain Pioneers.
