Bernard Keith LAUDER

Bernard Keith LAUDER, 83, of Middletown, Rhode Island, died Monday, June 9, 2014, at home. He was reunited with his beloved wife Barbara J. (NICKERSON) LAUDER who preceded him in death on August 21, 2006.

He was born October 4, 1930, in Jefferson County, Iowa, to Clarence and Dorothy MACY LAUDER.

Mr. LAUDER served in the Navy for 21 years, retiring in 1968 as a chief hospital corpsman. He went on to work for Newport Hospital for 14 years, General Motors for eight years and One Stop Building Supply for 20 years.

He was a communicant of St. Lucy's Church.

He is survived by a daughter, Audrey TAYLOR of Portsmouth, Rhode Island, three sons, Kenneth LAUDER of Middletown, Keith LAUDER of Ellendale, North Dakota, and Donald R. LAUDER and his wife Linda of Portsmouth, and a daughter, Karen CARRUBA of Portsmouth, as well as 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He also leaves his sisters Marjorie ROLDAN of Taylor, Michigan and Helen PARSONS of Corvallis, Oregon.

Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Donald, Richard and infant twin brother and sister, and his grandson Gerald (Chip) MARKS.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 13, 2014, at 8 a.m. from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, Rhode Island, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in St. Lucy's Church, 909 West Main Road, Middletown.

Calling hours will be Thursday evening from 4 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home.

Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Massachusetts/Rhode Island Chapter, 220 North Main Street, Natick, MA 01760.
