Flossie BARNETT dies at 86

Flossie R. BARNETT, 86, Fairfield Hotel, died at 1:40 p.m. Monday at Nelson Nursing Home.

Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Lawn Cemetery with the Rev. George Koch officiating. Friends may call at their convenience at Behner Funeral Home. A memorial has been established to the American Cancer Society.

Mrs. BARNETT was born March 19, 1901 in Fairfield, the daughter of Zopher and Lillie May COX ADAMS. She married Earl O. GOODWIN Oct. 14, 1915. He died Dec. 6, 1946. She married Elmer BARNETT Sept. 22, 1951. He died Dec. 19, 1977. A homemaker, she had lived her entire life in Fairfield.

Surviving are three daughters, Violet STEINBECK of Ottumwa, Dorothy ST. CLAIR, Mildred BATES, both of Fairfield; three sons, Earl GOODWIN, Donald GOODWIN, both of Fairfield, Albert GOODWIN of Chicago, Ill.; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren and a sister, Julia CULLUM of Fairfield. Two brothers and four sisters preceded her in death.
