Debra Jean MAIRET, 43, of Batavia died at 4:39 a.m. Monday, Sept. 25, 2000, at her home.
The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 28 at the People's Church, north of Batavia with the Rev. Jack Jackson and the Rev. Tom Shipley officiating. Burial will be in Batavia Cemetery.
Family visitation will be from 6:30-8 p.m. Wednesday at Behner Funeral Home. Memorials can be made to People's Church or Calvary Baptist Church in Batavia.
Mrs. MAIRET was born June 6, 1957, in Grinnell, the daughter of Don and Sharon HUGHES BEADERSTADT. She married David Gene MAIRET Aug. 27, 1983, in Fairfield.
She was a 1975 graduate of Fairfield High School and has lived in the Jefferson County area for 28 years. She spent 27 years in the restaurant industry and owned and operated Debbie's Diner in Batavia for the last 3 1/2 years.
Survivors include her husband; her mother and stepfather, Sharon and Jim POGEMILLER of Omaha, Neb.; one stepson, Randall MAIRET of Abindon; two brothers, Dennis SCULL of Colorado Springs, Colo. and Rick SCULL of Scottsburg, Ind.; one sister, Michelle HETRICK of Hubert, N.C.; and two stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father; and her grandmother, Velvia.
