George GOBBLE

George GOBBLE of Alpine, Calif., died Saturday, Sept. 30, 2000, at his home in Alpine.

The body has been cremated and the ashes will be scattered over the Pacific Ocean.

Mr. GOBBLE was born in March 1921 in Batavia, the son of Harold and Ester YEAGER GOBBLE. He married Lorraine FLAHERTY in San Diego, Calif.

He graduated from Batavia High School in 1939. After graduation, He joined the U.S. Navy. After 30 years of service, he was discharged with the rank of lieutenant commander. After his discharge, he was director of engineering and property improvement for the Travel Lodge Motel chain until his retirement.

Survivors include his wife and one son.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Helen GILTNER and Francis ORNDUFF.
