MRS. C.C. COCHRAN DIED SATURDAY
Had Been a Life Long Resident of This Vicinity; 74 Years Old

Mrs. C.C. COCHRAN, 102 East Washington street passed away at the Jefferson County hospital Saturday evening. She was born near Glasgow February 13, 1854 and lived all her life in this vicinity except for ten years when she lived with a sister in Creston. She was a member of the Christian church.

She was married to C.C. COCHRAN February 23, 1898. Besides her husband she leaves to mourn her death five step-children: C.M. COCHRAN of Libertyville, Fred, Theron, Mrs. Nellie MURPHY and Mrs. Mary McCORMICK, all of Fairfield. She also has two sisters, Mrs. Alfa JONES of Cantril and Mrs. Angeline STOUT of this city. One brother, Thomas MILLER, of Oklahoma, also survives.

Funeral services will be held at the Christian church tomorrow afternoon at two o'clock in chrage of Rev. R.H. Polley. Interment will be in Fairfield Abbey.

**I research the COCHRAN lineage.**

Admin. note: The Fairfield Abbey was a mausoleum on the grounds of what is now Evergreen Cemetery. In 1968, after decay set in, those interred there were removed to Evergreen and other cemeteries. Ada and Charles COCHRAN were moved to Upper Richwood Cemetery.
